How To Grow And Care For A Golden Pothos Plant

Golden Pothos is a popular houseplant that is easy to grow and care for. The plant will grow up to 18 inches tall, with leaves that are shiny green and slightly droopy. Golden Pothos tolerate low light levels and can be kept indoors or outdoors. Here is how to grow and care for a Golden Pothos plant.

  1. Things You Will Need

  2. Watering can or plastic bottle (optional)

  3. Grow light (optional)

How to Instructions: Get a small watering can or plastic bottle, measuring about one gallon size. If you are planting in an area with low light levels, you may need to put the plant under a grow light. Fill the container with water, making sure that it comes up about halfway up the side of the container. The water will allow excess roots to be washed off when you pot up your plant.

You can put up to two inches of water into the container, we recommend putting less than an inch to avoid root rot. If you have a small pot, you may want to use two containers, one for water and the other for more soil. Fill your chosen pot with a potting mix. Plant your seedling into the soil in the container and cover it with about an inch of soil.

Keep adding more soil until you have filled the container about halfway up with soil. This will help prevent the roots from drying out or burning when exposed to too much air and light levels. Place your plant in a place where it will receive minimal amounts of direct sunlight.
