What Is the Best Alternative Treatment For Hemorrhoids?

The bath salts I use are composed of both manganese and magnesium chloride. I also like to add a pinch of red pepper, which actually gives it a good kick. It's an excellent cleanser, too. And, it helps make the room smell good.

The most popular bath salt I've used comes from Israel called Dead Sea salt. It's mined in the South of Jordan and contains manganese, phosphorus, iron, copper, zinc, potassium, sodium, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, phosphoric acid, manganese sulfate, zinc sulfate, calcium sulfate, zinc oxide, potassium carbonate, silicon dioxide, and trace minerals. It's used in spas all over the world and has been sold to many pharmaceutical companies. In the U.S., it's sold at drugstores.

You can find Dead Sea salt in many stores and online; it's sold in various concentrations. I've heard it can help with constipation, so I usually take a tablespoon each time I go to the bathroom. If you're trying to get rid of hemorrhoids, I recommend starting with a half teaspoon and then gradually increasing to a full teaspoon, and so on.

I've tried many different directions for treating hemorrhoids. There are creams that contain hydrocortisone. I've also tried many different treatments for hemorrhoids in the form of suppositories.

Sometimes I use special cotton swabs to insert into my anus. One time I had two of these inserted by a friend. Although I found that the actual location of the hemorrhoid wasn't hurt by the insertion, there was a very slight burning sensation.

To remove it, I would use bandages or other medical equipment to get it out. That's how severe my hemorrhoids were.

I've tried many natural hemorrhoid treatment methods that have been recommended to me. One is by soaking the affected area in warm water with witch hazel and hot water. To relieve the itching, you can add a tablespoon of vinegar to the warm water.

Dead Sea salt is another option. It's known to be very effective for treating hemorrhoids and reducing swelling. But it is expensive.

Some bath salts are relatively inexpensive compared to things like suppositories and creams. However, they must be used twice per day and a day should include showering and a bath.

I find that using a salt scrub helps me after I take a bath. The rubbing of the scrub against my rectum helps loosen fecal matter and promote the absorption of good bacteria.

Many people try this method because they are not convinced by traditional medicine. I prefer my physician to cure me with prescription drugs, especially when it's going to require surgery. They are expensive and not covered by insurance.

Even if I'm taking drugs to treat my hemorrhoids, I am still glad to know that there are natural alternatives to traditional treatments that my doctor is looking to follow. With alternative treatments like Dead Sea salt, I can treat myself with things that I enjoy, like baths and the nice, clean feeling that they bring.
